Who We Are
We are a self-Supported Nonprofit Ministry with Proper Oversight and Accountability through our Board of Directors. We offer Christian Based Outdoor Programs, which Provide Individuals from all ages and all backgrounds an opportunity to develop a Closer Relationship with God, and learn Leadership Skills through Programs in multiple Wilderness Environments.
If you liked Summer Camp, but are looking for a deeper, more intimate experience, then Wilderness Trek is for you!
We use Adventures as a Spiritual Catalyst in order to help teens, young adults, older adults and families grow into the people God calls them to be. We introduce People from All Walks of Life and Fitness Levels to the wonders of God's Creation in order to help them become lifelong followers of Christ Jesus. In terms of Creature Comforts and Man-Made Features, we are The Opposite of Camp. In terms of getting close to God through the natural beauty and wonders of His Creation, it's An Experience With No Equal.

At Summit Adventure, we use Experiential Education, Adventure Programming, Service, and Cross-Culture Immersion as tools to move Individuals and Groups out of their Comfort Zones and into more Reliance on God and each other.
Since 1973, Summit Adventure has been leading the way as the Premier Outdoor Ministry Program:
Participants throughout the years have told us that their experience have been truly transformational, whether Domestically in Yosemite, Joshua Tree, and Death Valley, or Internationally in Ecuador, Patagonia, and Israel.
We Serve Individuals and Groups of all ages and Backgrounds through a number of Courses, Programs, and Opportunities. Summit Adventure works with a wide range of groups, including Youth (ages 12+)College Students, Adults and Individuals with Physical and Mental Disabilities. Although every course is different, typical course components include backpacking, rock climbing, mountaineering, rappelling, orienteering, trekking, cultural immersion, and service.
Summit Adventure offers courses that range from Half-day Onsite, Team Building experiences to a 7-Day Adventure Leadership Course to our 16-Week College Semester Program. We take pride in customizing every course we offer.

We believe that Unplugged Adventure is the key to unlocking our potential for living healthy, more balanced and passionate life. Our mission is to use wilderness adventure as a platform for helping people grow in their relationship with God, developing strong bonds within our communities and building self-confidence and significance in life.
Our unique Christian Summer Adventure Camps in Colorado are at an Elevation of 10,000 feet! Your Group can either choose one of our Pre-Planned Adventure Retreats or you can plan a Custom Program to include a number of activities and programs that will best meet your needs.
AEI Base Camp would consider it an honor to serve you with a complete program that includes both ministry and adventure.
If you are an individual looking for to engage in a Life-Changing Wilderness Adventure opportunity, we also offer various open enrollment adventures. Come join us on your own, or bring a friend or two with you.
AEI-Base Camp is another You and Family Oriented Outdoor Adventure Ministry that we are connected with in order to include the families of our Nations Veterans, in connecting with the Outdoors and connecting with other veteran families.

Wilderness Expeditions offers :
Backpacking Trips and Climbing catering to group including their families, teens, young adults, corporate, schools, churches and special needs.
For all Multi-day Programs and some other activities, when indicated, the Outfitter will provide a variety of equipment and supplies tot he participant. Such items often include (backpack, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, tents, stoves, cooking equipment, dining/rain fly, first aid kits, and food, (from supper on the first night tot he banquet mean on the final night for all multi-day trips). Some packages may include single and multiple nights stay in the Wilderness Expeditions Lodge or another of the local establishments. Wilderness expeditions also offers Fishing Trips, Horseback Riding, and Mountain Biking upon request with our contracted licensed Outfitters or Private property Owners.
